It has been 10 years Onishi Electric Industry a group company with the manufacturing experience of marine blowers received consultation for the maintenance of Jet fan. From the achievements triggered during this time, we are currently developing jet fan removal work, maintenance, installation works and all kinds of support that need for highway tunnel constructions. In this case, it was hard to locate a contractor who can handle such maintenance works locally. The problem which occurs first when acceptance inspection of the jet fan main body of about 5 m in total length and Φ 1000 to Φ 1500 is placing the fan in a secured place. Basically we deal with one item production, small lot as well as single items for maintenance. Currently we are also giving importance on proposals for the improvement of equipment and are trying to reduce the maintenance cost which is going up in recent days. Such as, a specific example includes improvement of the bell mouth. Suction port called ‘bell mouth’ inside where the roundness of the outlet is hollow and water tended to accumulate on the lower side and tended to corrode. Therefore, by removing the exterior board leaving the roundness we reduced the accumulation of water and improved the structure that to be hard to corrode. Even if corroded, it can easily be removed by our improved maintenance system. As other corrosion countermeasures, there are cases where sealing is performed on the joint portion in order to change to corrosion-resistant materials and to prevent electrolysis of dissimilar metals. In addition, our company has thorough safety education on site work from years of experience. We are also appreciating the consciousness on the attitude that each person entering the site does not cause an accident.
