In response to a request from our company's achievements, we connected the LNG rotary engine (RE) in parallel with the electric motor to drive the blower of a belt-hung centrifugal blower for dust collectors which is designed and manufactured by our company as a demand cutting facilities in the summer.

It is joint development with customers, gas companies, engine manufacturers. Specifically, when demands are going to be exceeded, RE starts automatically, driving towards the synchronous revolution speed, decreasing power usage and cutting demand. By controlling operation of the RE, status monitoring, and load current monitoring, control the number of revolutions of the RE and reduce the load current of the motor to the point corresponding to the demand cut power.

We carried out the installation work by using a sea crane for loading from the sea because the installation site is the roof of the building on the coastal quay.
In addition, control and heat countermeasures considering the characteristics of RE, Noise countermeasures, Demand cutting is required to control the motor load. And engine manufacturers and equipment sets are required to match the customers production procedure for which we visited many times.

In this case, we were required to combine the operating unit operating requirements of the machine part and the electrical parts controlling it to respond as requested by customers. Our strength is to be able to enter between customers and cooperating development members, plan carefully from technical meetings, cooperate from various places, to select equipment, structure review, electrical equipment selection, electric control. Although there was an initial trouble, we play an active part in the summertime even without major breakdowns.
